Have a decent set of old blades? Use the older set for the first few cuttings to keep from damaging your new sharp set on small sticks and debris you may have missed during the spring clean up of your yard. Just make shure that the older set are not so badly worn that they can cause damage to your mower due to a unbalance of the blades.

*Is your mowers engine dying when you try to engage your blades? This is likely due to the cool weather we have had this early spring. This is in large part due to emission standards in todays engines directly related to the fuel not being correctly vaporized due to temperature. A good trick to use is to move your throttle to the normal deck engagement rpm and then apply the choke usually half/choke and engage the deck. Once the deck is engaged pull the choke back.
